DCB'S Racing is a father son race crew, It all started with younger dave's passion for racing at a young age. At 1 1/2 years of age he was a weekly spectator at the local micro track in New Castle Delaware.  He learned his numbers and colors and letters at the track. the drivers there learned dave's name and made a special point to say hi to him.  They always let david sit in there cars during the track intermission.  Every weekend for years dave and his dad where regulars at Airport Speedway. On one occasion the local quarter midget club had an exibition race at the micro track.  Dave was 4 years old and saw those little race cars and those little drivers out there he knew that he could do that too. Daves dad knowing this is what Dave jr wanted to do,  so he sold his dirtbike to get the first of many quarter midgets.  Days after dave's 5th birthday Dave jr was in his first quarter midget racing at blackbird quarter midget racing club. He raced 24 times that year, winning 12 features. Watching the micro's for years pryor had payed off. They continued to race quarted midgets for the next 8 years. David raced at all the regional tarcks, dirt and asphalt. They traveled  to the mid-west to compete at the Nationals where David  was a front runner in every race. He finished 6th in the Dirt Grand Naionals in Springfield Ill. 1999. He set fast time at the Dirt Grands Nationals in TerraHoute Indiana in 2000, and again at the Dirt Grands in Hagerstown Md. in 2001, another 6th place finish in TerraHoute and a 4th place at Hagerstown. Dave raced in every class but two in the QMA. He earned over 200 trophies racing the quater midgets. His sytle of clean racing and smart moves earned respect from all of his competors. At the age of 12 it was time to move up to the next level. They sold all of our Quarter Midget cars and parts and bought a brand new Micro Sprint. Dave took to racing this new style of racing like a duck to water. In this class of racing he had to shift gears and learn to trust the wing on top of the car. Fisrt time out on the track he finished 4th. In 10 starts that year, he won 4 features. This past season, 2004, they focused on the 250cc Jr. track championship at Middleford Speedway. Because of David's age, only 13, at the time they had to travel 2 1/2 hours each way every Friday for him to be allowed to race. Middleford Speedway had started the 250 Jr. class the year before and it was a big hit with the younger racers coming from go-carts and quater midgets. Dave totally dominated the season at Middleford Speedway, winning 11 of 20 points shows. He is the 2004 250cc jr. point champion. He also raced at Airport Speedway this year in 3 exabition races. He won 2 of them. His ability to race cleanly and smoothly has earned him an everlasting reputation. He sets up his own racer and performs all the maintence. He knows how the car works and how to adjust it to make it work for him and how he likes it, not many 13 year olds can do all of this. This coming year Dave will race in the 250 stock class against the top racers in the North East. His skill at the young age of 14 years and with the 10 years of racing savy will be tough to beat. Watch the number 7 DCB Racing Micro team in the future, he's going to win alot more!
